The Office of Faculty affairs considers professional development for faculty important to the forward momentum of faculty’s continued success. OFA addresses the many needs of faulty in a number of areas including polices and procedure for promotion and tenure, promotion and tenure workshops, narrative workshop, faculty orientation, Implicit Bias training and the annual faculty writing retreat. IRB Workshop Information
EHE is holding an IRB Workshop focusing on ethics in research involving human subjects next Monday, October 24th with guest speaker Dr. Michael Oates from the University of Minnesota. The workshop will be held from 1pm-3:35pm in the Senate Chamber on the 2nd floor of The Ohio Union. All faculty in EHE are welcome to attend.
Implicit Bias workshop - Autumn 2016

The Office of Faculty Affairs in collaboration with the EHE and the University Offices of Diversity and Inclusion, are excited to have the opportunity to provide an Implicit Bias training to all EHE faculty and staff members. Dean Achterberg is encouraging your participation regarding Implicit Bias training, we strongly urge you to take the time to better understand the many factors that go into making informed decisions.
The Implicit Bias training workshop will be co-facilitated by Valerie Kinloch, Director of the EHE Office of Diversity and Inclusion, and Anika Anthony, Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Studies.
