Special Considerations

  • OIT will only install Skype; staff will not support or troubleshoot Skype. It is the customer's responsibility to obtain a Skype account before scheduling a conference.
  • OIT requires 10 business days advance notice for all one-to-many and classroom-to-classroom video conference requests. This time is needed to bridge locations and troubleshoot sound and video problems that frequently occur with off-campus video calls.
  • Not all rooms available to EHE have built-in video conference functionality.
  • The Office of the Chief Information Officer provides all support for audio only conferences.
  • It is the customer's responsibility to provide technical details or a technical contact for the other person(s) involved in the video conference.
  • At OIT's discretion, customers may be required to complete training to utilize some video conference services.
