Author Tony Delarosa will visit Ohio State to speak about his new book, Teaching the Invisible Race: Employing a Pro-Asian American Lens in Schools.
2:15 - 3:15 p.m.: Delarosa will engage in a Fireside Chat around the role of Asian American studies in K-12 and higher education. This chat will be moderated by Associate Professor Pranav Jani and Associate Professor Theodore Chao. This event will be in PAES A110. Ohio State students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend.
5 - 7 p.m.: Delarosa will speak about his new book and do a book signing. This public event will be in PAES A143. Ohio State faculty, staff and students are welcome to attend, as well as teachers, educators and organizers from the greater community. RSVP below to enter a raffle for a free book.
Both events are free and open to the public. Delarosa's visit is sponsored by the Asian American Studies Program in the Center for Ethnic Studies, The Office of Engagement, Discovery, and Global Education in the College of Education and Human Ecology, Educating for Ohio’s Future and the Humanities Institute.
Tony's book will be available at both events. Credit/debit cards are accepted forms of payment.
