Monday, August 16, 2021

Dean Don Pope-DavisDean Don Pope-Davis has been voted president-elect of one of North America’s top associations of education deans and will lead the executive committee that consists of private and public universities.

The Council of Academic Deans from Research Education Institutions (CADREI) is an assembly of national education deans from universities classified as very high research activity (R1) and high research activity (R2).

“I am most appreciative of the confidence and support that my colleagues have placed in me and look forward to advancing priorities in education that have an impact on the lives of our students,” said Pope-Davis, who will serve on this committee for three years. “I am grateful for the opportunity to lead and engage with deans around the country who bring a diverse and transformative perspective to the challenges and opportunities in education.

CADREI holds meetings three times a year — once in the fall and spring, as well as a professional development opportunity for deans.
