Monday, February 18, 2019

The EHE Office of Research has been renamed to the Office of Research, Innovation and Collaboration.

Additionally, the office has reorganized its support for the college research community into three integrated core areas:

  • Proposal and Research Management - supports proposal development, award administration, compliance and dissemination and communication. Led by Kim Lightle, director.
  • School and Community Research Engagement - assists with research in schools, school and community partnerships and school outreach and dissemination. Led by Nicole Luthy, director.
  • Data Access and Analysis - provides research methods consultations, data analysis and analytics, secondary data services and professional development. Led by Sandy Reed, interim director.

Key initiatives of the office will support its new mission, including:

  • Continued support in pre-post award activities and grant-writing through red team reviews and DC Days.
  • New strategies to develop collaborations with our research partners in schools and communities.
  • An Advanced Methods Institute entitled, "In Support of Culturally Sustainable Research and Researchers" featuring experts from around the country to be held in this summer (more information to follow).
  • Facilitated access to secondary datasets to be used in your research.
  • Opportunities to expand your research engagement through a new Affiliates Program.
