Workshop: Strategies for Facilitating Classroom Discussions After SB1

What does SB1 mean for practices in your classroom? In this pedagogy workshop, experts from the Center for Ethics and Human Values (CEHV) offer strategies for facilitating open and respectful class discussions that welcome different ideas and perspectives. Drawing resources from CEHV’s “Civil Discourse for Citizenship” program, they will discuss techniques for fostering an environment in which students can constructively explore contentious issues in your field. This workshop will provide ample time for considering scenarios, analyzing cases, and answering questions.
