Staff Professional Development Funds

In partnership with the University Staff Advisory Committee (USAC), Human Resources offers the funds to staff who are interested in pursuing professional development over the next year. Applications for fiscal year 2026 will open on May 1, 2025, and close on June 2, 2025, at 5:00p.m. Awarded funds will be available for use July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. All Ohio State faculty, staff and students now have free access to LinkedIn Learning, an industry leader in online training. With a digital library of more than 18,000 courses covering a wide range of topics, this is an opportunity for you to grow your career skills and explore other personal interests. You get 24/7 unlimited access from any device to learn at your own pace. With sponsorship provided by the Office of Human Resources, the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center and the University Staff Advisory Committee, you can set up your free account today to access courses that are relevant to your current role or many other passions. Read more on the HR website.

Administrative Resource Center (ARC)

The Administrative Resource Center provides guides, job aids, training and more for current users of Ohio State's Workday system.

Gateway to Learning

The Gateway to learning is brought to you by the Office of Human Resources. This weblink will provide learning tools and resources to help develop new and/or continue skills and knowledge on a variety of topics. Of particular note for managers is a Manager Foundations training on Ohio State’s technology platforms as well as resources to help Managers grow in their Leadership Effectiveness.

Buckeye Learn

A university-wide online training tool, allowing learning and training opportunities to be easily accessed by the university community of faculty, staff, and student employees.

  • Institutional Data Policy –This training must be completed to gain access to OSU Systems.
  • Report=Support! Identifying and Responding to Sexual Misconduct – How to identify, disrupt and report sexual misconduct. Must be Completed each year to be eligible for Annual Merit Increase
  • EEO Recruitment and Selection Guidelines – Identifies how to apply Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity requirements in the recruitment, selection, and hiring process
