Holiday community service project

Wednesday, November 27, 2019

Looking for ways to make a difference this holiday season? Consider supporting young children and their families by sending a holiday greeting card, purchasing a toy, donating warm clothing or buying a gift card. The college is partnering with South Side Early Learning to support families during the holiday season. Team up with colleagues to participate in the holiday giving activities.

  • Donate toys: Collect new toys for children enrolled in the South Side Early Learning childcare programs. The children range in age from six weeks to five years. All toys will be delivered to South Side Early Learning and distributed to families.

  • Donate warm clothing: Check your closets for gently used hats, gloves, coats and boots for young children and their families. Please clean items before donating. New clothing items also accepted.

  • Purchase gift cards: Collect money and purchase Kroger or Walmart gift cards (suggested amount: $50). Gift cards will be donated to families to purchase food and other basic needs.

  • Send a holiday greeting card: Attend the Dec. 18 EHE Holiday Party and write message for a family. You can also complete cards in advance and drop them off at the Office of Research, Innovation and Collaboration in 153 Arps Hall. If you have questions or need additional information, contact Nicole Luthy.

Please bring donations to the holiday party or drop off items at the Office of Research, Innovation and Collaboration in 153 Arps Hall.
