Invitation to host a German Fulbright student
In response to an invitation from the German-American Fulbright Commission, Ohio State is hosting a teacher-training seminar for 20 German Master’s in Education students on “Diversity and Inclusion in the Classroom.” All participants are first generation immigrants to Germany. All have good command of English.
The seminar is March 30 to April 20 in Columbus and administered by the College of Education and Human Ecology, the Office of International Affairs and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
As part of the program, faculty and staff are invited to host one or more students for a weekend homestay. Homestay host responsibilities include:
- Pick up: Saturday, April 6 at 10 a.m. from the Red Roof Inn (441 Ackerman Rd, Columbus, OH 43202)
- Drop off: Monday, April 8 by 9:30 a.m. at Arps Hall (1945 N High St, Columbus, OH 43210)
- Provide meals, lodging and the experience of a typical weekend in a U.S. home. We ask that hosts provide breakfast before drop-off on Monday, April 8, please.

All hosts will be invited to meet their German Fulbright guest(s) in advance at a lunch in Enarson Classroom Building on Friday, April 5. More information will be provided.
