Windows 7 support to end

Microsoft will no longer support Windows 7 beginning January 14, 2020. This means that a computer running the Windows 7 operating system in EHE will no longer be allowed access to EHE resources starting that date.

Most computers will upgrade to the new operating system without issue. There are several older models that will not upgrade. Assume if your computer is older than eight years it should be replaced, and your department should budget and plan accordingly.

If you have a computer currently uses Windows 7, plan now to allow OIT to upgrade your computer to Windows 10. Waiting could mean losing access to EHE computing resources you regularly use.
