Update: Educational Studies Chair Search

Update - March 21, 2019

The ES Chair Search Committee conducted Skype interviews with eight applicants March 20-21, 2019. The Committee will conduct reference checks March 25-April 5, 2019.

After reference checks and committee debriefing, the committee will recommend a slate of applicants for invitations for campus visits to the Dean. The Dean will select candidates and formally invite them for campus visits.

Tentative dates for candidate visits are:

• April 10-12, 2019 (arrival and dinner on 10th; dinner with Dean on 11th)
• April 14-16, 2019 (arrival and dinner on 14th; dinner with Dean on 15th)
• April 17-19, 2019 (arrival and dinner on 17th; dinner with Dean on 16th)
• April 24-26, 2019 (arrival and dinner on 24th; dinner with Dean on 25th)

Please save these dates. The committee has completed draft itineraries and will share those in due course.

The Opportunity

The Search Committee for the Educational Studies Chair is made up of a diverse group of Faculty and Staff from within the department of Ed. Studies and across the college. With initial direction from Dean Pope-Davis, the group worked together to articulate the unique opportunity available for potential candidates.
