Effective performance management is a shared responsibility between the manager and the employee. Managers help guide staff to reach their performance goals, professional development goals, and competencies that represents the EHE Core Values. Managers and employees can champion their success through collaborative participation in this process.

As you read and review the materials below, remember that performance management is a continuous process of communicating and clarifying job responsibilities, priorities, performance expectations, and development planning to optimize an individual’s performance that aligns with department and college strategic goals.  This system was designed to increase feedback, transparency, and collaboration between the manager and employee.
