Effective performance management is a shared responsibility between the manager and the employee. Managers help guide staff to reach their performance goals, professional development goals, and competencies that represents the EHE Core Values. Managers and employees can champion their success through collaborative participation in this process.

As you read and review the materials below, remember that performance management is a continuous process of communicating and clarifying job responsibilities, priorities, performance expectations, and development planning to optimize an individual’s performance that aligns with department and college strategic goals. This system was designed to increase feedback, transparency, and collaboration between the manager and employee.

Annual Merit Compensation (AMCP) Notification Letter

Communications will occur via Workday related to the Annual Merit Compensation process.

In early August, eligible regular Faculty and Staff will receive a Workday (WD) generated merit notification letter in your WD inbox. This notification uses standardized language that only reflects merit salary information. We do not have the ability to edit or rescind this letter.

In the past, WD experienced system issues which resulted in AMCP notifications not being sent. Should this issue occur again, follow the below instructions to view your AMCP merit increase.

• Under your profile, click on “Actions”
• Select “Compensation” from the menu
• Select “View Compensation Review Statement History”
• Click on the current year PDF file view your notification

Reminder to document Flexible Work Arrangement

  • Anyone working remotely for 30 days or more (either hybrid or fully remote) must complete the online form.

  • Agreement should be reviewed at least annually or before the agreement is set to expire.

  • Review agreements and if changes are needed create a new case as a “Renewal.”

  • The agreement date cannot be retro dated and can be future dated up to 90 days for planning purposes.

  • Staff should also complete the form for any flexible work agreement, including a compressed work week or time flexibility.
