Staff goal setting due July 31

The deadline for completing Goal Setting for FY21 in the EHE Performance Management System is Friday, July 31. For a refresher on what is required:

  • Two SMART Performance Goals and one SMART Professional Development Goal for each regular/term staff member.
    • Performance Goals are job oriented. They let the employee know what is required to perform their job successfully. These are individually specific, and operational in nature.
    • Professional Development Goals are learning-oriented. They are intended to enhance the employee’s knowledge, skills, and abilities to support their growth and development.
  • Employees and Managers should collaborate on goal creation. No signatures are needed for goal setting.

 

Steps for Goal Entry

  1. Employee goes to the “My Current Plan” tab in the Performance Management System.
  2. Under “Performance Goals,” click “Create performance goal”.
  3. Type in the agreed upon SMART Performance Goal and click “Save”.
  4. Repeat Step 2 and 3 to enter the second required Performance Goal.
  5. Under “Professional Development Goals,” click “Create professional development goal”.
  6. Type in the agreed upon SMART Professional Development Goal and click “Save”. Process complete.
